Over dinner one night, we were having a family conversation about writing and how to use sources. I was describing how often my undergraduate students inaccurately cite sources and often plagiarize. My son—who was deep in a 3rd-grade writing workshop—offered to teach my students how to paraphrase. And so, we decided to make a video to share what he learned in school. We engaged in a video design process where he chose imagery (e.g., Bucky Badger), fonts, citations, and then performed this unscripted video. The students loved it, and I enjoyed the opportunity to share my craft with my son.
