“Amanda is also highly empathetic in that she does not ask for anything she would be unwilling to do herself, both for her teaching assistants and her students. Amanda is inclusive and understanding, but also holds high standards for her own work and the work of her colleagues and students. She has always encouraged me to take my work to the next level, whether giving a guest lecture or preparing work for publication, and she provides support at critical times. Amanda’s practices have significantly impacted my own, both as a TA and more junior member of our program, and I have greater faith in my own abilities as a researcher and teacher as a result of her mentorship.”

Lecturer and Senior Graduate Student

“Amanda easily establishes a good rapport with a class because she is warm and understanding. She has good command of the course materials/field and she takes the extra step of encouraging students to evaluate it and applying it beyond the theoretical realm.”

AMAZING!!! I loved your class! You are so knowledgeable about the topic. I could literally ask any question and you would probably have an answer. You are hilarious and honestly this course could easily be so dry and so much material but you had me laughing, understand, and being attentive/interested the whole time. The readings you picked were phenomenal and all worked together well and in a way I could understand. Very organized. So funny and so much fun. THANK YOU!!!”
